Socials are filled with posts this week remembering Adam Robinson (founder of retention.com, RB2B, and moltsets) and his impact he’s had on so many. I didn’t know him personally, but as many have commented, it feels like I did from his presence on LinkedIn. My prayers go out to all who knew him and his family. Rest in peace.

This post by Andrew Mewborn captured what an amazing friend and person he is. This part made me tear up:

Give your family a hug today. Call your parents. It’s scary how fast life can change.

It turns out my Grok Bot for GTM Encyclopedia that I shared wasn’t accessible. (Company security policy since the account is tied to Cursor). My apologies!

To fix this I rebuilt the site on Lovable with Grok Bot. I figured I’d turn this into a growth experiment to learn some AEO techniques.

In this post, I’m sharing:

  1. A newsletter experiment: can an agent write, grow, & monetize a newsletter?

  2. The steps (and prompts) to build the Grok Bot for GTM Encyclopedia

  3. 36 tips for Grok Bot & Clay (from SpaceXSI and I)

  4. Data provider of the week

Can Otto write, grow, and monetize a newsletter?

The experiment is this: can an agent (Grok Bot) write, grow (to 10k subs in 90 days), and then monetize a newsletter?

I want to learn (and share with you):

  • How much can a Grok Bot do itself?

  • Can it learn and improve its approach over time?

  • What growth experiments will work?

  • Where will things fail?

This is how it’ll work:

Otto is the agent powered by Grok Bot. The newsletter is called autonomous and is hosted on Substack. Otto will research and write a post on the top agent news for the week. Think of autonomous as the Morning Brew for the agent economy. Each post will include:

  • A round up of the most interesting agent economy news

  • A growth experiment Otto is running to grow the newsletter

  • Results of those growth experiments (what worked / what failed)

  • A poll so you can provide feedback (so Otto can learn)

  • Stats on newsletter growth

Join the experiment:
